Licence & reuse

Every datapoint traces to a primary source so the Fieldbook can be cited rather than taken on faith. The compilation itself is openly licensed for reuse.

The Fieldbook dataset and written content (the sourced tables, entity dossiers, the compiled knowledge graph and the methodology) are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0). You are free to share and adapt the material for any purpose, including commercially, as long as you give appropriate credit, link to the licence, and indicate if changes were made.

Individual datapoints cite their own upstream primary sources, and those sources retain their own rights and terms. CC BY 4.0 covers the corpus's compilation, classification, tiering and presentation of the data, not the third-party material it points to. The site code is © Scalarity and is not covered by this grant.
